Hi, I’m Sam!
Hi friends, I’m Sam — I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a Licensed Health & Nutrition Counsellor™ (LHNC™), and I hold certifications as a Holistic Nutrition & Health Coach / Holistic Nutritionist and a Certificate as a Certified Functional Nutrition Coach (CFNC).
Through my education, I have studied in great detail topics such as anatomy & physiology, nutrition sciences, symptomatology, hormones, supplementation, digestion and gut health, detoxification, mental health, blood work, functional lab testing, mind/body health, and coaching. I’m committed to lifelong learning and always upgrading my knowledge to better support my clients. Along the way, I’ve written research papers, worked through real-life case studies, and completed comprehensive exams — experiences that have strengthened both my academic foundation and my practical skills.
For almost five years now, I’ve been working with clients — individuals and families — supporting them on their health journeys, helping them feel their best by integrating simple, effective, and sustainable nutrition and lifestyle habits that can be maintained long-term.
On a personal note, I’m a mama to two of the sweetest little kids, married to my best friend, and a born-and-raised Calgarian. Before stepping fully into this work, I held various corporate roles (Investor Relations, Business Intelligence, Account Management) and even tried real estate for a hot minute! I always felt like something was missing until I began learning more about nutrition and wellness and saw how using this knowledge could help others the way it helped me.
I used to believe that feeling tired, exhausted, and burned out was just “normal”—but after having my two kids I realized I needed to prioritize my health. That’s when I started seeing real changes in how I looked, felt, and showed up for myself and my family. Motherhood sharpened my perspective: it’s not just about nourishing myself, but nourishing my whole family.
My approach is grounded in simplicity, flexibility, and compassion. I don’t believe in restrictive diets or quick fixes—they’re not sustainable. My philosophy is to return to the basics: real whole foods, cooking in our kitchens, getting outside, sleeping well, and moving with intention. These are simple, practical strategies, but they are among the most powerful.
I believe everyone deserves to be healthy, to feel vibrant, and to live life fully. It would be my honour to walk alongside you on your health journey. XO
